This mood took advantage of Brother Anthony Lucius Antonius and his wife Fulvia. They rose in revolt under the banner of the triumvirate of destruction, restore the republic and protection of all the oppressed. Both are operated essentially as Anthony agents. In Fulvia adds more personal motive: jealous of her husband to Cleopatra, she wanted by organizing riots in Italy to accelerate his return. Lucius Antonius for some time took over Rome, but then retreated to the north and was besieged by troops Octavian in Perusia . Only after a long siege, in February '40, Lucius was forced to surrender. Octavian, not wanting to quarrel with Anthony, spared his life. All coalition collapsed: Fulvia went to meet Antony in Greece, where he died soon; some members of the nobility moved to Pompey.
