Karina could temporarily weaken the revolt, smashing the largest force Bacaudae. But small groups of them continued to operate throughout the country, attacking the richer individual travelers, to officials, to small military units. When Karina was forced to leave Gaul, the revolt broke out again. In the fight with him moved assistant Emperor Diocletian Maximian. Bacaudae were again defeated. But this time the movement has not managed to destroy completely. It lasted a total of about 150 years, then pausing, then flaring up again, and then tossed in Spain.
