The congress approved the main directions of the new six-year economic development plan (1971-1976). Despite the economic difficulties of the preceding decade, due to large amount of effort and money on national defense in the new Six-Year also provided for high growth rates of gross national product industry: 14% per year with a total increase in the volume of 2.2 times. Currently, it is difficult to evaluate the solutions adopted by the Congress in connection with the complex history of the DPRK unexplored.
