Modern Western civilization is faced with the first serious obstacle in the 1845-1850 years. It is difficult to understand why this happened, but the fact can not be doubted. An obvious example - architecture. Just (1845) build good - although quite unimpressive buildings in the spirit of classicism. A moment later (1847) begin to build something absurd and romantic, which is the same - whether by accident - with the creation of the Communist Manifesto. Immediately appears Napoleon III - and the entire Third Reich covered fashion for pointed barbs. For a while, this fanciful growth graced every face depicted on the stage of the Frenchman, but the Crimean War brought together the French and the British. French generals - Saint-Arnoult, Canrobert, Bosquet, Pelissier - had beards until the beginning of this campaign. The English - Raglan, Cardigan, Evans, Brown, Campbell and Burgoyne - chins were shaved. After the end of the campaign, in 1856, it appeared that the British heroes - entirely bearded and cigar smokers, who having gone into retirement, settled in nightmarish homes under the name "Inkerman" and "Alma". Others who have shown themselves to be less heroically, could at least grow a beard (and dress up in cardigans), which was done. Further consequential movement of volunteers, as a result of every man in Britain became a soldier and honored to - at some point turned into a duty - to let go of his mustache. So, beards and mustaches have become commonplace, and from 1880 to 1890 this forest very thickened. Man's face again became the show through thickets in 1900, clearly indicated in the 1910 and since then are mostly themselves to the world-shaven as though the British fleet is allowed to wear a beard (but not the mustache), and in the British Army - mustache (but no beard).
