When Champollion deciphered the hieroglyphs, it became clear how much the faithful contain reasoning Horapollo; became clear evolution of characters, the starting point of which was a simple symbolism: the wavy line indicates the water outline of a house - the house, the banner - god. However, the same symbols, used Horapollo followers to later inscriptions led astray. Often these paths were opportunistic. Group of characters, located on one of the Roman obelisks and transmit the Greek title of Emperor Domitian 'autocrat' (autocrat), for example, he translated as follows: 'Osiris - the creator of fertility and all vegetation, productive capacity which come down from heaven to his kingdom saint Moftah ! ' And yet, in contrast to a dozen other scientists Kircher acknowledged the importance of the Coptic language - this later form of the Egyptian language.
